$5 boat tours are back this summer at Wascana Centre!
When?
There are three different chances to get a $5 boat tour this summer:
$5 Boat Tours Events
We will announce on our Wascana Centre social media stories and on Wascana.ca when we are holding the next $5 boat tours event, which will include the date and time that it is happening. These will be announced day-of, so stay tuned!
Pop-Up $5 Boat Tours
Throughout the summer on a nice day with no other lake activity going on, our boat operators will be conducting special pop-up boat tours on Wascana Lake in addition to our other $5 boat tour programming.
Due to the pop-up nature of these particular $5 boat tours, advanced notice will not be available on the website or our social media.
Thursdays in Wascana
$5 boat tours will be back as part of our Thursdays in Wascana programming lineup this summer! These will be happening from 6-8 p.m. on Thursdays in July and August.
Cost?
They are only $5 / person. If you have a child that is 2 years old or younger. Everyone above the age of 2 is $5.
Pop-Up $5 Boat Tours
At our pop-up $5 boat tours, cash will only be taken as payment, as card payment will be unavailable. It will be indicated on the sign on-site.

At our Thursdays in Wascana/planned $5 boat tours, cash, debit and credit will be accepted. It will be indicated on the sign on-site.
How do I book a $5 boat tour?
$5 Boat Tours Events / Thursdays in Wascana (July and August)
There is no pre-registration available for these $5 boat tours. First come, first served. When you get to the front of the line, you will be assigned a time and spot on the boat, with payment due at this time. Due to demand, this time may be later on during the event, so your patience is greatly appreciated.
Pop-Up $5 Boat Tours
You cannot book ahead, as the next in line gets on the boat, as indicated by the sign. First come, first served.

I have a baby, is it still 5$ for them?
If you have a child that is 2 years old or younger, they are free. Everyone above the age of 2 is $5.
Why aren’t there different prices for children and adults?
Keeping the cost at $5 for everyone keeps the price affordable for everyone, as well as makes for less waiting time in line, than if there are different price levels for different ages.
Can I bring food on the boat?
Yes, if you take all the garbage with you when you get off the boat, there are no trash cans on the boat.
Can I bring my pet on the boat.
Yes, if your pet is well trained and won’t disturb any of the other passengers you can bring your pet on board.
How long are the boat tours?
They are 15 minutes long, if you are interested in a longer tour, please check out our private boat tours.
Can I smoke or vape on the boat?
No.
Do you take card payments?

Yes, we do. Cash, credit and debit are accepted.
Pop-Up $5 Boat Tours
For the pop-up $5 boat tours, we do not as we will only take cash. It will be/is indicated on the sign on-site.
How many people can go on one boat?
We have 2 boats, and each boat can take a different number of people. Wascana I can take 12 passengers, and Wascana II can take 8 passengers.
Why can’t Wascana II take more than 8 passengers?
Both boats have a certain amount of life jackets on board, which limits the number of passengers allowed on board.
Can I book a $5 boat tour in advance?

No, when you buy a $5 boat tour, you will be told what time your tour is at.
Pop-Up $5 Boat Tours
No, pre-booking is not available. The next person/group in line gets on the boat.
I bought a $5 boat ride, but I cannot wait for my boat ride time, or I missed my boat ride, can I get a refund?
