Wascana Homeschool Environmental Education Program – Spring 2026

Experience the wonders of nature firsthand with the Wascana Homeschool Environmental Education Program. Amidst a world where youth are increasingly disconnected from nature, our program provides an invaluable opportunity for children to reconnect. Join us in exploring the simple joys of nature within Wascana Centre, discovering everything from diverse bird species to aquatic organisms.

Ages: 8-13

Dates: Tuesdays 1:30 p.m. – 3:30 p.m.

April 28 – Animal Adaptations
May 5 – Nature Olympics & STEM Celebration
May 12 – Water Wonders
May 19 – Pollinators in Action

Price: $55 per child (all spring sessions included)

Program Information

A parent/guardian is required to drop off their child on Tuesday, April 14, 2026, at 1:30pm at Wascana Programming Trailer. (Parents will need to sign a waiver, and optionally a photo release form. An email will be sent out a few days prior to the first session with directions on how to find the Programming Trailer.) *Please have your child prepared to walk outside as, weather permitting, we will be out (i.e. appropriate footwear, jackets, etc.). For the later dates, a flashlight would help for outdoor activities. Nothing else is needed. *All sessions will be held on Tuesday afternoons from 1:30pm to 3:30pm. (Dates of sessions are as follows: April 14, 28, May 5, 12, 19. *Full refunds will be available for cancellations until April 10, 2026. Following this date, no refund will be available for cancellations.
