The donor(s) may select a tree from our available list, and it will be planted within Wascana Centre to celebrate the life and works of a loved one, commemorate a milestone, or pay tribute. Donors or those being honoured will receive a certificate, photo of the tree, as well as a map with the tree’s location.
The cost to plant a legacy tree is $1,000.00 CAD.
As Wascana Centre is a non-profit organization, a tax receipt will be issued for the full amount of your donation.
There are currently two locations available for legacy trees, with varying tree species options for each.
Conexus Arts Centre
There are ten options of trees for this location available:
- Bur oak
- Blue spruce
- Scotch pine
- Pin cherry
- Clump paper birch
- Acute willow
- Ponderosa pine
- Tree lilac or Alder
- Ohio buckeye
- Hotwing maple
T.C Douglas / Wascana Rehabilitation Centre
There are three options of trees for this location available:
- Mixed shrubs or conifer mix
- Honeysuckle
- Scotch pine
To apply for a legacy tree, follow these steps:
- Fill out the Legacy Tree application form.
- Once completed, email it to wascanainfo@gov.sk.ca.
- Patience. We will reach out to you regarding the application and payment.
