Thank you for joining us for Oskana Day
Did you know? Oskana and Wascana both originate from the Cree word meaning “Pile of Bones,” which was used to refer to the area now known as Regina.
On July 19 and August 16, we were proud to present new Wascana Centre summer programming called Oskana Day, a celebration of our city’s Indigenous heritage and culture.
Oskana Day featured a tipi demonstation, hide tanning demonstration, a discovery table, Indigenous games and a tipi display.
Thank you to our partners:
- Wade BigEagle
- Nature Saskatchewan
- Royal Saskatchewan Museum
and countless more who helped make this possible.
See you next summer!
