Winter in Wascana
Join us for an afternoon of outdoor fun around Legislative Landing! Our Wascana Centre ecology team will be there with ecology-themed activities, along with the Rink on Wascana to skate on!
⛸️ Skate on Rink on Wascana
Rink in Wascana is back! Free youth-sized skate rentals will be available during Winter in Wascana (sizes vary, first come, first served, helmet required).
🐾 Camouflage Challenge
Hosted by the Wascana Centre ecology team, this activity shows how animals blend into snowy environments. Kids can play a hide-and-seek game with colored objects in snow.
❄️ Frozen Habitat Dioramas
Hosted by the Wascana Centre ecology team, kids build mini “habitats” in trays of snow using twigs, pinecones, and stones to show how animals survive winter.
Tasty hot chocolate will also be available to sip on (while supplies last).
Located at Legislative Landing (just north of the QEII Gardens).
