The City of Regina is leading this project, visit their website for information on this project that impacts Wascana Centre. Any restrictions will be posted in advance.
Current restrictions:
- May 20 to September 17 – A portion of the park between Wascana Drive and Wascana Lake will be fenced off to allow for excavation and drainage pipe installation. The park’s multi-use pathway will remain open at this time.
- Hamilton Street south of College Avenue is restricted to local traffic only.
Timeline: Ongoing
- Construction started May 1, 2026.
- Substantial completion of the project will occur in the 2026 construction season
- Some landscaping may be completed in Spring 2027
Purpose/scope:
- Reinstate permanent storm drain infrastructure
- Install a new, storm water outfall
- Reinstate landscaping including several new shrubs
- Pave a section of Hamilton Street south of College Avenue
